What Is It For
Twice a year we run two-day workshops for NGOs and journalists on digital hygiene and digital travel security. NGOs and journalists are often the target of state-sponsored attacks fuelled by geopolitical motives — together we practise the latest modus operandi for protecting against that threat landscape, hands-on with participants’ own tools.
Who It's For
Our Pro Deo workshops are built for NGOs, journalists, and human rights defenders whose work puts them in the crosshairs of state-sponsored actors and other well-resourced adversaries. Anyone whose safety depends on the confidentiality of their sources, contacts, or investigations is welcome to apply.
What the Workshop Covers
- Personal threat landscape and exposure profiling
- Secure configurations for communication, cloud, and mobile ecosystems
- Messaging hygiene (Signal, iMessage, ProtonMail, or your preferred tools)
- Travel-safe device protocols and border-crossing security planning
- Hardening of personal, home-office, and assistant devices
Format & Duration
Each workshop runs over two full days, twice a year, in a hands-on format. Participants work directly with their own devices and accounts, walking away with hardened configurations rather than a slide deck — practising the same modus operandi used against real targets in the field.
